EUROREGION BALTIC

The Association “Klaipėda Region” has been a member of Euroregion Baltic (ERB) since 2012. The main objective of the membership in ERB is to strengthen the cooperation between the regions, deal with common challenges and problems, develop and maintain active ties with other regions of the Baltic Sea countries. One of the major achievements of the ERB’s political lobbying is the new financial and cooperation instrument approved by the European Commission in 2007 – the Interreg South Baltic Cross-Border Cooperation Program.

Euroregion Baltic (ERB) was established in February 1998 and is a politically solid and well-anchored cooperation in the south-east of the Baltic Sea region, consisting of eight regions of Denmark, Lithuania, Poland, Russia and Sweden.

The Association “Klaipėda Region” is the ERB secretariat (representative) in Lithuania and in 2019 has the Presidency at organization. President of ERB organization is Mr Vytautas Grubliauskas, the President of  Association “Klaipėda Region”.
