Film Net – South Baltic Film and Culture Network

Have you ever wondered if the region in which the movie was made has an impact on its content? What links films created by the inhabitants of the Baltic countries?

On 25 and 26 June in Gdansk and Elbląg, film screenings of “Baltic Identity Film Tour” were held as part of the “FilmNet – South Baltic Film and Culture Network” project, during this events viewers had the opportunity to answer the above questions.

“Baltic Identity Film Tour” is a set of 8 short films from the Baltic countries: Germany, Lithuania, Sweden and Poland. The films have been selected at an international conference and will be screened in all partner countries. Their theme is the identity of the inhabitants of the Baltic Sea region.

The show is being carried out as part of the FilmNet South Baltic Film & Culture Network project, in which the leading partner is the European Meeting Center “Światowid” in Elbląg. The project ensures functioning within a network of cooperating institutions from different countries. This will contribute to the exchange of experience and knowledge transfer between partner institutions from Poland, Lithuania, Germany and Sweden by sharing experience.
